Dell Giving Iron Man: The Beginning of Content battle with Apple?

I am not exactly sure if this is the beginning of a battle over content between Dell and Apple, but I think that with this move, Dell has entered to the field of content business. Apple is very successful in this field.

I am afraid that Dell has adopted a wrong strategy, because the consumers will have to pay $19 extra for the movie “Iron Man” and some bonus content. $19 is not a lot of money for most laptop users, but It is not such a small amount that thousands of people will run for.

Hollywood Reporter wrote:

For now, Paramount is the only studio that has signed on, and "Iron Man" -- which will be available accompanied by exclusive bonus footage for $20 day-and-date with its DVD release -- is the only film being offered.

The offering is the first step Dell is taking toward setting up a broader digital content storefront that could create significant competition for Apple's dominant iTunes Store.

I think that it would have been better if Dell has developed some content and given the users free of charge with every new laptop. Of course, Dell can not think of making a movie like Iron Man and give it free to the laptop buyers. However, it can make a decent documentary or small comedy and give it to the users free.
