For many years, AMD has been fighting with Intel to capture a good share of processor market. The sad thing is that it never became successful in defeating Intel. Rather, it has always remained in the distant second position in the global market. AMD is now joining hand with Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC) to set up a new company.
I am not sure if it is a good move or bad move from AMD.
ATIC is an Abu Dhabi company and I am not sure how much experience the officials of ATIC to run a global business. For example, I could not find any entry about the company in Wikipedia. While doing Google search I realized that the company has become famous because of its Association with AMD. Yes, ATIC surely has money as most companies in Middle East do not have problem with that. I just hope that it does not become a headache for AMD.
