BlackBerry Storm: A Mobile Phone or a Netbook?

The answer to this question seems to be very obvious to all of us. Of course, BlackBerry Storm is a mobile phone. It can never be a netbook. A netbook is a laptop not a mobile phone. Well, Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO of RIM does not think so. He feels that Storm is a netbook. He was asked a question by Cnet and he replied:

“No, I think I can put Netbooks in here [referring to the BlackBerry Storm]. These are Netbooks. They are just smaller.”

This has caused some storm in the tea cup at Engadget. The readers have made fun with Mike Lazaridis about his claim.

Let us talk some serious matters. I think that BlackBerry Strom has the potential to challenge netbooks but it would not happen in 2009. It may happen in 2010. What is your idea about it?
