What if you are offered to have a gaming laptop with three powerful GPUs from NVIDIA. No, I am not kidding. In fact, Toshiba has recently launched a pair of laptops featuring three graphics processing units (GPU) from NVIDIA. No doubt, these are the world’s first laptops consisting of three GPUs. Toshiba’s objective was to introduce a high-performance gaming laptop with high resolution. Toshiba and NVIDIA jointly worked for introducing Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 laptops for the game-loving laptop users.
Both Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 laptops feature NVIDIA’s highly integrated GeForce(R) 9400M and two GeForce 9800M GTS. With three GPUs, both the gaming notebooks provide excellent gaming experience to the laptop users. You can use the GeForce(R) 9400M GPU for gaming performance, while two GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs could be used while working on Windows Vista applications.
Prnewswire reported:
The unique design featuring three NVIDIA GPUs enables the Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 laptops to deliver scorching gaming performance by combining the horsepower of two discrete GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs with NVIDIA SLI(R) technology, and allows the option of switching to a quiet operation mode with NVIDIA Hybrid SLI technology. In Hybrid SLI operation, the powerful 9800M GTS GPUs are powered down and graphics operation is transferred to the GeForce 9400M GPU. As a result, Toshiba Qosmio laptops are able to deliver record-breaking gaming performance at high resolutions, while enabling a quiet state when powering other types of Windows Vista applications.
