In my previous entry, 7-in Raon Digital Everun Note powered by 1.2GHz AMD Turion Dual Core CPU was compared with an Atom-based mini laptop and a VIA-based mini laptop. You can read about it in the following entry:
-Everun Note with 1.2GHz AMD Turion Dual Core CPU: The most powerful Mini Laptop Ever
So far, the specs, and test result of this mini laptop has been spread in web, but there had been no information about its price and release date.
UMPC portal could have access to Brochure and Demo of Everun Note. According to this source, Everun Note will hit market with the retail price of $879. Well, compared to mini laptops this is a lot of money but compared to UMPC devices this price is really fabulous. It can easily compete with VAIO UX series and Q1 Ultra Premium UMPCs.
Everun Note has the shape and form of low-cost laptops like coming with 7" display and the keyboard similar to low-cost laptops’ but the features like touch screen display and optical mouse rather than mousepad put it more in the category of UMPC devices. The Turion Dual Core CPU and 1GB of RAM boast the performance well and make it competitive with other expensive UMPC devices.
