In my earlier post I mentioned the availability of Mini 10 at QVC for pre-order wih the price tag of $560. Dell has launched the same Mini 10 in its website with cheaper price tag of $399.
The Mini 10 available at Dell comes with the following feature set:

Color: Obsidian Black
Processor: Intel Atom Processor Z520 (1.33GHz/533MHz FSB/512K Cache)
Memory: 1GB of RAM
Hard Drive: 160G, 2.5inch, 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
Wireless: Wireless 802.11g (1397) Mini Card
Webcam: Integrated 1.3M Pixel Webcam
Battery: 24WHr Lithium-Ion Battery (3-cell)
OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP3

There is no option for 802.11n Wi-Fi for this laptop I am afraid. also there is no Bluetooth. However, you can purchase the External optical drive with this netbook with up to $80.

The striking features of Mini 10 consisting of :
- Multi-touch trackpad
- edge-to-edge display with 16:9 ratio which is suitable to watch HD movies!
- HDMI out port rather than typical VGA out
- Polished design in different 6 color options
-Dell offers plenty of upgrade options, none of which I have tested, including the choice of Ubuntu and Vista operating systems, an internal TV tuner and HD resolution, Bluetooth, Wireless WAN, internal GPS, larger storage and memory capacity plus the option for solid state over hard disk drives ( now you can not findany of them to customize the current Mini 10 available at Dell website).

Rundown of Mini 10 hands-on :

Krisabel.ctv.ca thinks that:
Pros:
Dell Mini 10 gets the same keyboard style of Mini 12 ( with flat keys) The keyboard is nice and comfortable. However, it offers more glossy diplay. Also, it looks more fashionable and expensive because of its more polished finish.
the netbook with 1.6GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM could easily handle several applications including Google Earth, Picasa, and iTunes simultaniously. The boottime is fast.
Dell offers plenty of upgrade options, including the choice of Ubuntu and Vista operating systems, an internal TV tuner and HD resolution, Bluetooth, Wireless WAN, internal GPS, larger storage and memory capacity plus the option for solid state over hard disk drives that will be available later.

Cons
:
Unfortunately, the battery run time is short compared to many netbooks. The battery lasted only two hours while turning off the power management settings,Wi-Fi on, and running a music track on an endless loop.another big complain is the lack of Bluetooth. The third problem was the HDMI. The writer tried to play HD video and watch it on its TV through HDMI but he was not able to. He only could stream some simple YouTube videos.Additionally, "The Mini 10 makes for a poor media centre PC." Price is not aggrasive compared to the current 10-inch mini notebook in the market.
